Using the FRESH framework as an organising principle, it provides an update and overview of current support to School Health and Nutrition (SHN) programmes in low income settings. It provides an analysis of information gathered from 38 organisations active in this field and serves to highlight areas of ongoing concern as well as emerging trends and issues since the Directory was last updated in 2006. The Faith in Water workshop was held from 5-7 July 2009 in Salisbury, UK. IRC was the co-organiser and the workshop was initiated by the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) and the Dutch Ecological Management Foundation (EMF). The aim of the workshop was to explore the potential to strengthen WASH in Schools and environmental education through cooperation with Faiths which run faith-based schools.
Evidence and impact is described of community work and policy influencing through community water management and school sanitation.
